Course Description

This 14-hour course, followed by an exam provides broad training in proper installation and service requirement for commercial and household fire alarm systems based on NFPA and ICC codes.

NFPA requires fire inspection and testing personnel to be knowledgeable and trained, and service personnel to be qualified and experienced. Students will learn the information needed for professionals to become familiar with fire alarm system requirements necessary to gain certification and prove competence. (NTS 1.6 CEUs) An e-manual is included in this purchase-Prefer print, a copy can be purchased through NTS for an additional cost.

Fire Alarm Installation Methods will provide individuals with the knowledge and skills to:
•Teaches the code knowledge and practical technical skills you need to design, install and maintain fire alarm systems that comply with NFPA 72 (2019 edition), NEC (2017) and NFPA 70 (2011 edition).

(NTS 1.6 CEUs) Fire Alarm Installation Methods will provide individuals with the knowledge and skills to: •Install and maintain fire alarm systems that comply with NFPA 72, ICC and NFPA 70 •Properly service and maintain fire alarm systems WHAT TO EXPECT IN A LIVE VIRTUAL CLASS This is a live instructor-led class that is held virtually. This course will allow you to get the full benefit of a live instructor teaching a course without the travel time or expense. You are able to interact with the instructor and ask questions all from the comfort of your home or office. In order to participate, you are required to have the following equipment: 1. Computer or tablet with high-speed internet 2. Webcam (Daily attendance will be taken and the instructor must have a visual of you during the entire class) 3. Full audio via phone or computer (Computer audio requires a microphone) 4. Quiet place to access the online course that provides little to no distractions. An electronic manual and proctored exam with a pre-approved testing facility is included in this purchase. A paper copy can be purchased through NTS for an additional cost.
